Lips are the most susceptible to dry according to changes in the weather. Be it winter or summer, I can always feel my lips drying out. That’s how I always turn out to have chapped lips. However, I notice that with a good balm I can moisturize them until they get back to their healthy appearance. Moreover, after running out quite often of my usual lip balm, I always wanted to try a homemade version. And that was the no turning back point. Using the exact ingredients I love, this homemade lip balm will moisturize even the most chapped lips on the Earth. It feels smooth and very hydrating so check the recipe to DIY down below.
The ingredients you will need to prepare this excellent homemade lip balm for your chapped lips are:
– a tablespoon of grated beeswax
– a tablespoon of coconut oil
– 1/2 teaspoon of raw honey
– 2 vitamin E capsules
– a few drops of lavender essential oil.
Let’s get to it. To make this, you will need to start off with melting the beeswax, the raw honey and the coconut oil in a double boiler. Make sure you stir continuously until they melt completely and no longer solid. When you see the mixture completely melted, also blend in the vitamin E capsules and the lavender essential oil. Lastly, transfer the mixture into your container of choice, it can be an old lip tube or an airtight jar. Apply a small amount on your lips and feel the moisturizing effect.
