Signs of gingivitis should make you to visit your dentist, but you can also try the following natural remedies, because they are as effective as a dental treatment.
The saltwater gargle destroys the bacteria in the mouth and prevents bad breath. In addition, it has anti-inflammatory effect and helps to treat gingivitis. Put 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a glass of water and gargle each morning and evening.
Mouthwash with lemon juice
In a glass of lukewarm water squeeze a lemon then strain the liquid. Rinse your mouth in the morning and in the evening, after brushing your teeth.
Baking soda toothpaste
Mix 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda with a few drops of water. Apply the paste obtained on the swollen gums, let it act for 1-2 minutes then rinse. Repeat this procedure 2-3 times a week.
Mix half a teaspoon of turmeric with a few drops of water until you get a thick paste. Apply it on the affected area and let it act for 10 minutes then rinse your mouth. Apply this treatment twice a day.
