Leg cramps are a source of serious discomfort for many people, especially for postmenopausal women. But there is a cure, weird, inexplicable, but verified by science!
It consists in pinching the upper lip – this technique has proved to be effective in 90% of cases. The method, discovered by Milton F. Allen (which is a chronically sufferer of muscle spasms) is incredibly easy and effective.
At the first sign of any muscle cramping, immediately compress the area above the upper lip and under the nose between your thumb and forefinger. Maintain a constant pressure for twenty to thirty seconds, longer if necessary. The pain should subside and the muscles relax within moments of the pinch.
Although scientists can not explain why the technique works, they have to accept that it works. Its effectiveness is confirmed by many professional athletes (and their coaches) who use this technique whenever they encounter leg cramps.
